My painting series “Freedom of the Seasons” is unearthing a fresh view of New England’s four seasons. My goal is to reveal Nature’s energy and emotion using line, luminous color and movement. The painting process consists of translucent layers of acrylic paint mixed with alternating layers of pencil, India ink and mixed media to build texture, color vibrancy and depth.
There is a magical tranquility in nature which connects mind, body, and soul; we being living entities connected by earth, air, and water. Life’s chaos can be transformed into peace if one takes a moment to breathe. My goal in this series is for each painting to embrace what Nature provides us, that of a stillness, a peace, and light in our hearts.
