The Queen's Seeds
Acrylic on canvas, 14 x 11", Sold
1st in series
On the day my grandmother passed away, I hiked to the top of Potter Hill Meadows and painted this Queen while I thought about all her living years on earth, her significance and presence in our lives.  I believe the Queen Anne's Lace was my grandmother's favorite wildflower. The flower was closing up for the season, protecting her family, holding them close, but willing to let some go to start their own lives. The Queen's Seeds serves as the catalyst for the series.
