This beautiful autumn Queen was picked in the backyard meadow along with some others and placed in a vase in my studio.  At the time, I had a dear friend that was experiencing a health challenge.  The drawing and painting process of this Queen was infused with healing thoughts for that friend.  Many layers of translucent color have been added and removed to convey the sense of light.  The rosette of basal leaves is alive in light and carries the energy to the tiny flowers that are now seeding for the colder season
