I painted from my soul today. I do everyday. This is the second painting in a series of experimental Cyclamens and other flora.  When one lets go of the past, one only has the present. Somehow I’m always fighting myself… to let go of my fears and my negative thoughts. I have always practiced the art of intuition but most recently, I have pure faith in the power of positive thinking. This painting is being created on top of two paintings that weren’t working for me. The prior paintings had me in a bad place…an artist’s block for a few months. Rather than sand it smooth, I have decided to go over it, bumps and all, placing what I see is a beautiful flower filled with light, allowing it to shine through despite the past. We all have history, good and bad, and our experiences make us who we are.
