As with every painting, this one went through a variety of color changes.  The title as well. In 2010, it was titled "Distant Sunlit Hills" with a red flowered foreground (see bottom picture). I've been dwelling on the red for about three years.  In February of 2013, I have decided to give it a cold shoulder: snow.  Snow in the foreground and an approaching spring thaw in the background.
