A Simpler Time

Painted from a small dark photograph of my mother and little brother in the summer of 1980. Our entire childhood was spent outside while my mom weeded the garden or gave my brother a ride in the Radio Flyer. This is a precious memory, and also one I experienced myself as a mother. Those early days of motherhood will never come back but I will always keep them close to my heart.
