Detail of house
A house portrait created for a client of her home and all her husband's "other women," (the red truck, the tarped boat, the precious barn which stands no longer, the two work vehicles).  During the creation and communication process, she kept mentioning his "other women".  For a surprise, I added her and her daughter as the REAL WOMEN.  Up in the sky an amazing "happy mistake" happened when I let the blue sky dry while the painting was propped up.  There were drips which formed...can you find the symbol?

Where thou art, that is home.
~ Emily Dickinson

If I were asked to name the chief benefit of the house, I should say:
the house shelters day-dreaming, the house protects the dreamer,
the house allows one to dream in peace.
~ Gaston Bachelard
